Richard Bradley Technical Advisory Engineer
At Irish Cement a Key Element of Our Quality Policy is to Provide:
- Comprehensive technical product support to our customers
- A wide-ranging advisory service on all aspects of the use and application of cement and concrete in Irish building and civil engineering practice.
Technical support to customers is provided by civil engineers with broad practical experience of cement and concrete technology. Advisory engineers are familiar with ongoing advances in concrete technology and with developments in standards, specifications and building practice in Ireland, the U.K. and Europe.
Engineers are available at all times to undertake troubleshooting assignments for customers either in their production plants or on construction sites.
R&D Support
Backed-up by our central laboratory and our research and development teams, cement and concrete technology issues can be quickly investigated and solutions provided. This resource also offers a facility for analysis of mortars and concrete, including optical microscopy, as an in-depth tool for problem investigation and resolution.
Thermogravimetric and calorimetric analyses are also employed to evaluate issues such as cement admixture performance and to assist in resolving customers’ queries on a range of applications. Typical investigations carried out for customers relate to strength development, durability, retardation/early stiffening in concrete or mortar.
With years of practical experience of the use of cement in Irish concrete practice to draw on, our advisory team can quickly provide solutions to enhance our customers’ business.
Extensive Library
Our reference library contains a wide range of technical reports on concrete technology and our computerised library database has over 12,000 entries.
Advisory leaflets and videos covering most common uses of concrete around the home and on the farm are readily available to customers.
If you have a problem with mix design, interpretation of test results, concrete finishes or any aspect of the use of cement in Irish concrete practice please give us a call.
