The Platin Kiln 3 Project commenced formally in May 2007 when the Minister for Foreign Affairs and local T.D. Mr. Dermot Ahern unveiled a plaque to celebrate the occasion.

I am very proud to lead our Project Team on this exciting €200m development which when completed will represent state of the art in cement manufacture. It will ensure, when operational, that Platin Works will operate to world class standards in energy efficiency and environmental performance.

Our Project Team and the Contractors appointed to construct the new Kiln line have made substantial progress on the development. The project has progressed well and is targeted for completion by the end of 2008.
