An example would be software recently installed at Limerick, where “predictive strength” software is continuously assessing cement mill quality results, and using these results within algorithms to forecast future 28 day concrete compressive strengths. This allows real-time adjustments to chemical targets to optimise cement performance in concrete.
These innovations in quality control, reduces the carbon intensity of the final product, without compromising concrete performance.
