International Design Competition

Details of the 7^th cycle of the popular International Concrete Design Competition for students of Architecture, Design and Engineering have been announced.  Germany will host the competition in 2015/2016.  Other participating countries include Turkey, Belgium and Ireland.  In Ireland the competition is funded by Cement Manufacturers Ireland (CMI).

The Concrete Design Competition is open to any registered student in schools of architecture or related disciplines in Ireland.  Students are asked to explore and exploit the potential of concrete properties with respect to the theme ‘METAMORPHOSIS’ in their entry projects.  Winners of the Irish National competition, in addition to receiving a cash prize, will attend an International Masterclass in Berlin in September 2016.
