Awarded BES 6001 Excellent rating

Irish Cement has recently been awarded the BES 6001 ‘Excellent’ rating for our cement products, becoming the first company in Ireland to achieve this rating.

The Environmental and Sustainability Standard, BES 6001, assesses products to ensure that they are responsibly sourced.  The standard addresses social, economic and environmental impacts of construction products focusing on product stewardship throughout the supply chain.

In 2011 Irish Cement became the first company in Ireland to be independently certified to BES 6001. Continuous investment and focus on sustainable development has resulted in our range of bagged and bulk cement products now being awarded the Standard’s highest rating.
